The sleep of reason

Childhood is the sleep of reason. It's a short season in life, but if you carry your childhood with you, you never become older. Ingeniousness is nothing less than childhood recalled at will, so never grow up. Believe, it's never too late to have a happy childhood, and do not make the mistake to put all the play and learning into childhood, all the work into middle age and all the regrets into old age. A happy childhood is the worst preparation for life but yet, I think, it's one of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life. Sometimes I feel like the world is full of people who have never, since childhood, met an open doorway with an open mind. Reviving childhood is not hard to do; appreciate the small things in life, imagine and believe in magic. Believe in love, believe in others, believe in yourself, dream big and, hell, believe in Santa Clause. Live out your enthusiasm, absorb every smell, every sound, every touch, every taste and every sensation, no matter what you do and how dispensable it may seem. Make every attempt to discover the world again, through the eyes of a child, excited and enchanted by fireworks, by merry-go-rounds, by rainbows, puddles, balloons and trampolines, by fairy tales and simple things, such as the smell of freshly baked cake or the anticipation of a day trip. Discard every prejudice, be curious and honest, be naive if you have to and remember how to say No. Never doubt. The moment you doubt, you cease forever to be able to do it. Most importantly, never give up. Never stop believing, and, never forget.
